"newsletters" module: newsletters - particularities

the "newsletters" module focuses on managing newsletter, notice, and/or informative bulletin mailings.

the functionalities of newsletter management, which distinguish it from other modules, mainly affect user processes (see "specific actions depending on the section or module (specific operations)" in the user manual").

NOTE: the construction of a newsletter template is almost identical to the common construction of a detail view. The only difference is that the pages to be sent by e-mail must have the links and references to graphic resources indicating the complete path or URL beginning with http://... (a complete URL will look something like: http://www.demo.com/img/logo.gif"). In most cases, the detail view and the one for an html mail can be the same page or "preview template".

for the construction of detail views or html-mail pages, use the common construction patterns in detail views, keeping in mind the use of absolute URLs in all resource references.

apart from the construction of the preview template for sending/viewing newsletters, the "newsletters" module allows lists to be constructed (e.g., for historics/archives that can be seen from the web site). The common list construction patterns are followed for this.

NOTE: the newsletter template must be planned to allow for different editions (newsletter records) that the user will generate over time.
