after defining a "data template", inserting contents and designing a "preview template", the page can then be previewed with its contents.

linking contents with view-templates

the link between the data and the "preview templates" page where they are to be shown is made by using identification parameters.

IDM is the name of the parameter for identifying "data template".
23 is a unique "data template" identifier.

-. the data template identifier: every GenB "data template" has a unique identifier. The template identifier is inserted as a parameter in the "URL" links addressed to "preview templates" that construct lists. The name used to transport this parameter is "IDM". e.g.,: http://www.misite.com/listado_servicios.php?idm=23

-. the data record identifier: every GenB "data record" has a unique identifier. The record identifier is inserted as a parameter in the "URL" links addressed to "preview templates" that construct detail views. The name used to transport this parameter depends on the module used:

the fastest and simplest way to preview contents is the one that is provided by the GenB contents management site.

links to a detail view of each record and to the list views of each of the templates are provided in the list window.

for correct construction of the link, the "data template" form fields "Url list" and/or "Url det" must have been correctly filled in:

if as example there is no list view available, Don not fill the "URL list" and the system will not activate the link to lists.

as an aid to construction of links for navigating to GenB dynamic pages, it is recomenndable to use the GenB contents manager lists to copy the correct URL to lists and detail views.
