different types of GenB contents manager application templates are provided in the downloading zone

each GenB template (Zip file) contains:
  • a data structure file or "data template" in XML format, e.g., news_structure.xml
  • a data or contents file in XML format, e.g., news_data.xml
  • a directory/folder with the set of pages that make up the "preview template"

installation of preview templates

1.0.-download .zip file from template to be installed.

NOTE: first check that you have authorization to use the module the template is based on.

2.0.-decompress the .zip file.

2.1.-copy the directory/folder that contains the php/html pages (preview templates) to the root of the GenB web "site" where the template is to be used.

NOTE: to copy the directory, do not modify the name of the directory provided (the name and location of the directory may change but it is necessary to show the change in the different data templates incorporated).

3.0.-sign the .php pages with the web site "UID" the template is going to be sent to:

3.2.-in WYSIWYG graphic mode, use the "Server Behaviours" panel and double click on one of the "Initialize: ..."

3.2.-in the "initialize..." panel Replace the contents of the UID parameter ("fill in with your id") with the "uid" of the web site where the template is being installed.

NOTE: in text mode view, the definition of the "uid" can be identified in the first rows that head the page:

3.2.-in DreamweaverŽ (or with an FTP tool) send the new directory to the GenB server.

import of data templates

4.0.- from the user management site receiving the template, access the site " XML Import/export ".

NOTE: the data template may be inserted from the administration zone of the agency to which the customer receiving the template belongs. To do this, the data structure file (e.g. news_structure.xml) and the < user > label have to be edited to incorporate the "UID" attribute identifying the receiving customer: e.g., < user uid="12339123c80123ba6112312312312378" >.

4.1.- click on the button "Select file/Browse/..." (the system will facilitate navigation through your file system) and select the XML document corresponding to the structure of the template to be incorporated (e.g., news_structure.xml).

4.2.- click on the "Import" button. The system will return a page with the results of importing the new data structure (data templates).
