GenB extensions for Dreamweaver® MX are activated when you work with "PHP GenB" dynamic documents.



when a new document is called for to develop a "preview template", Dreamweaver® provides a new document selection window, in which the category "Dynamic Page" and PHP GenB-type "Dynamic Page" are chosen.

NOTE: if you want to use GenB on an already existing page:

1.- make sure the page extension is ".php"

2.- insert at the head of the document: < ? php // GenB ? >

3.- save the changes, close the document and reopen it.

in the "Insert" window, tabs for each of the GenB modules appear. The pages to be viewed with contents or "preview templates" are designed with these objects:

the objects in the "Insert" window are equally accessible from the "Insert" menu bar:

the document window allows you to work visually with the set of GenB objects the "preview template" is constructed with.



the Dreamweaver® translation system translates the code generated by the various GenB objects, facilitating the developer's manipulation of these blocks in applying styles and graphic adaptation of the template.

"Server Behaviors" window shows the set of GenB objects inserted in the document. With a double "click" on an item, the dialog window can be recovered and the object inserted in the work document can be selected.



the "Server Behaviors" window is of great help in modifying the paramters of GenB objects already inserted.
